Christian Finger started composing when he was 11; since then it’s been an important part of his musical life; amongst others he composed for the German award winning band “Once In A Lifetime”. Later he formed the "finger trio" featuring great musicians like Lee Konitz, John Goldsby, Matthias Nadolny, Gunnar Pluemer and Frank Wunsch.

After moving to New York City in 2001, Christan reformed the 'finger trio’, featuring great players like Dave Kikoski, Russ Lossing and Chihiro Yamanaka.
Recording his new CD “Merge Into Beauty” in 2006 made him from the “Christian Finger Band”.

The repertoire of this stellar ensemble consists of original compositions, which explore American jazz tradition and mixes it with European sensitivity. The result is a warm, deep, full sound of surprises, combining jazz, pop, and classical music and turning it into an exceptional sound.

The intuitive and interactive playfulness of the band makes every performance of “Christian Finger Band” a very special event; there’s a radiant joy and excitement on stage; audience member can’t help but get drawn into the colorful and eclectic music.

Being an international cast of musicians, who have worked with famous artists such as Lee Konitz, Dave Kikoski (Christian), Gary Burton (Vadim), Maria Schneider Big Band, Vanguard Jazz Orchestra/Solo-Artist (Rich), Kenny Kirkland (Adam) among many others, the “Christian Finger Band” is a highly passionate, tight knit and virtuosi unit, always serving the music.
